Having children is always a blend of joy and challenges for parents, and it’s hard to deny the immense emotional impact these little versions of ourselves bring into our lives. But imagine having not just one, two, or even five children, but twelve! Such a large family can make any parent’s journey incredibly demanding. Our featured protagonist recently gave birth to her twelfth child, and this is how she and her husband manage to take care of their massive and happy family while preserving their sanity throughout the years.

The couple had never planned on having such a large family from the start. Courtney Rogers, a 38-year-old woman from New Mexico, and her husband Chris, recently welcomed baby Cambria into the world, bringing the total number of their children to the magical figure of twelve.

Courtney is a supermom who gave birth to twelve kids in twelve years and managed to transform her brood into a real-life version of the iconic “Cheaper by the Dozen” family, following the birth of her youngest daughter.

The proud parents disclosed that they had never imagined having so many children when they first decided to start a family. They even experienced a miscarriage when they began trying to conceive, but now they have twelve perfect offspring.

Each of the twelve children holds a special place in their parents’ hearts. The couple’s eldest child, Clint, was born on March 30, 2010, just before they had another five boys followed by six girls.

“It’s amazing how it all worked out because we had all our girls in the beginning, and the last five turned out to be girls as well, so it worked out perfectly,” Courtney shared in an interview.

For the joyful parents, each child represents a new chapter in their lives. Courtney revealed, “Clint was born three weeks before my 26th birthday, and at that time, he had no idea he would have more siblings. I thought I was too old at 26 and didn’t anticipate having more children so quickly, including a set of twins. We initially planned for a maximum of ten kids, but I still felt the joy and decided to go for twelve.”

The large family now cherishes their best moments together. The children’s names are Clint, 12; Clay, 10; Cadé, 9; Callie, 8; Effective, 7; twins Colt and Case, 6; Calena, 4; Caydie, 3; Corallee, 2; Charis, 1; and the newest addition, baby Cambria.

As if having twelve children weren’t enough, the family also resides on a farm with over 200 animals, including pigs, sheep, and chickens. The children are raised with the belief in caring for their animals and are taught responsibility from a young age.

With twelve children under the age of twelve, Courtney and Chris are constantly busy managing their family. They are always engrossed in planning how to handle the daily chaos.

A typical day in the Rogers household resembles a small adventure. The day begins with a hearty breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by math and art lessons. Lunch is served around 11:30 a.m., where Courtney prepares sandwiches for the little ones before putting them down for a nap, while the older kids prepare their own meals. In the afternoon, the children engage in language classes, art, and reading time, including occasional piano lessons. At 5 p.m., the family gathers for a wholesome dinner.

During a typical meal, the family consumes 24 eggs, and every morning, they finish a full serving of cereal for breakfast. In addition to teaching the kids, Courtney also manages to keep the house tidy, all before they settle down for bedtime at 8:30 p.m.

The happy yet immense family depends on their mother’s strict budgeting skills. Courtney is adept at planning and saving, and she has implemented a “no spending in January” rule, which restricts any non-essential purchases, focusing solely on basic groceries. The family also follows a “no eating out or getting takeout” policy, as well as a ban on renting movies or making unnecessary purchases.

When Courtney needs to cut back on grocery expenses, she declares “No Meal Mondays” and prepares cost-effective vegetarian meals for her growing clan. Although the family may not indulge in extravagant luxuries, they make it work smoothly thanks to Courtney’s money-saving techniques. Furthermore, this generous family still finds ways to give back to others.

During the previous Christmas season, the Rogers family even welcomed strangers into their home, treating them to a delicious homemade meal.

How many children do you have in your family? Would you like to have more in the future? Could you imagine running a family with twelve children on your own?
