Tegal Wangi Beach & Cave In Uluwatu, South Bali

Tegal Wangi Beach is a small hidden beach in the Jimbaran/Uluwatu area of south Bali.

Add this beach to your Uluwatu to-do list! It has nice white sand and sea caves just like Green Bowl Beach further south, but it’s a lot more accessible and easy to reach.

Tegal Wangi Beach

Pantai Tegal Wangi is a pretty small beach, but it’s still a secret to most Bali tourists, so it’s never crowded.

When you first arrive, you’re treated to a view of the bukit coastline stretching out into the distance and a small path leading down to the beach.

Tegal Wangi has two sea caves. The first one is pretty small, but if you keep walking further down the beach there’s a second bigger cave.

At low tide, there are natural tide pools you can sit in and soak while enjoying the views.

We came here at sunrise, but actually the best time to visit is at sunset. Since the beach is facing west, you’ll have a great view of the sunset!

How To Get There

Tegal Wangi beach is located in the Uluwatu area of south Bali.

It’s a 30 minute drive from the Kuta area, or 15 mins from Jimbaran.

The best way to get there is to rent a scooter or hire a private car and driver (both of these can be booked online).

Once you get there, it’s a short, easy walk down to the beach.
