Several of my friends ask me to explain the difference between shaded hair and highlights. I always answer them with the same question. “What’s the difference between Korean and Japanese?” Certainly a lot, but they are not obvious. It’s more or less the same with ombre hair.
But if we had to remember a major difference with the wicks. This is because while the locks, as their name suggests, only concern certain parts of the hair, the shaded hair, it uniforms the complexion over the entire hair. But the gradient tone between two colors is common to both techniques.
Note also that the shaded hair gives a result that is still much more discreet than the wicks. The application of an ombré hair, must always let suppose that the result is natural. And is probably due, for example, to overexposure of the hair to sunlight.
